MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Shree Lakshmi Narayan Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Amritsar is situated in the heart of the city at Sant Tulsidass Marg near Durgiana Mandir O/s Lohgarh gate, Amritsar. It is a 60 bedded hospital. Apart from it there are 2 beds in private room and 2 beds in Emergency section. The College is running regular OPDs of all specialties. Patients with various chronic diseases are being cured here successfully. Facilities of OT and Labour room are also available here.
Various OPD’s of different specialties give their services to the patients under the expert hands of qualified and specialist doctors. We are having 7 OPD’s:
This is the prime branch of Ayurveda which is akin to General Medicine in Ayurveda. This department not only deals with the curative measures i.e. with medicines but also the preventive aspects too. It deals with the diseases by means of Shodhana (Purification), Shamana (Pacification) and Satwawajaya (Counselling).
A regular functioning OPD and IPD of this department deals not only with acute but also the chronic diseases and also make it feasible for the students to learn those skills properly with ample practical exposure.
Department of Panchakarma is the core heart of Hospital. Our department is constructively engaged in the revival of an affordable, reliable and proven Ayurvedic health care system.
Motto: – To create an environment where individuals and groups of people are healed, rejuvenated and re-energized to experience a healthy way of life. All Panchakarma procedures are carried out by trained therapists with the complete availability for carrying out procedures. In addition to this Keraliya Panchakarma is also carried out here. We perform more than 10,000 therapies every year.
Shalya Tantra is one of the main branches of Ayurveda which deals with the diagnosis and management of diseases that require conservative, para-surgical or surgical intervention.
This department deals with the treatment of diseases related to the parts of the body situated above the neck. These are mainly the diseases of Ear, Nose, Throat, Oral cavity and eyes. Shalakya Tantra covers most of the specialties which are coming under the purview of modern E.N.T.
Special work and trials are being done on the patients of PCOD, Infertility and TORCH positive
patients by the Ayurvedic Medicine and procedures like Uttarbasti and vaginal douching.
This
department deals with the treatment of antenatal care of pregnant women, post-natal care,
diseases related to female reproductive system & management of labour. The department of Prasuti
Tantra evam Stree Roga has facilities for the management of all Gynecological diseases including
Antenatal, Natal and Post-natal care with the advanced techniques and Ayurveda modalities of
treatment.
Kaumarbhritya is one of the most important branches amongst ayurveda as it deals with the prevention
and cure of childhood diseases. This department
deals with the treatment of diseases like: Balaroga (Pediatrics), Prasooti Tantra (Obstetrics),
Stree Roga (Gynecology) etc.
This department also takes care of the health of children from
neonates
to adolescents. The department also takes care of the health of mothers from antenatal to postnatal
care.
This department is engaged in training and teaching of preventive and promotive aspects of health.
This department deals with the promotion of health and prevention of diseases such as Diabetes,
Mellitus, Hypertension, Obesity, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Skin Diseases etc. through diet,
lifestyle and behavioral changes.
It also deals with the treatment of various diseases
through Yoga
and Naturopathy. The regular OPD of Swasthavritta & Yoga Department is running successfully in our
hospital.
The department of Agad Tantra is a specialized unit focused on the study of application of Agad Tantra, a branch of traditional medicines dedicated to the science of toxicology. Rooted in ancient Ayurvedic principles, treatment and prevention of poisoning and toxic conditions using a blend of historical knowledge and modern medical techniques.
